The Mutual Success Plan (MSP) is a dedicated subtab within the Deals module designed to streamline deal management by tracking deal stages, milestones, and checklist items. It provides a structured approach to aligning both internal teams and external stakeholders on key objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the deal lifecycle.
The MSP is a deal-level feature available under every deal. It allows users to define critical milestones, set expectations, and monitor progress effectively. By leveraging the MSP, teams can drive seamless collaboration and improve deal execution, ultimately increasing the likelihood of a successful closure.
To access this feature, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Aviso.
- Go to the Dashboard.
- From the left-hand side menu, Select Deals.
- You will be redirected to the Deals page. Select the Deal for which you want to view the Mutual Success Plan.
- Click the Mutual Success Plan tab.
- The Mutual Success Plan (MSP) provides a structured view of Deal Stages (from Qualified to Closed)
and their corresponding Milestone Status, with a graph visually tracking when each milestone was
completed, helping teams monitor deal progress and identify bottlenecks. - You can add, edit, or delete the milestones as per your requirements. You can also update the checklist for each milestone, as explained in the next step.
- Click on the Milestone that you want to edit. Select Edit.
- A pop-up with Update Checklist will appear as shown in the image below.
Fill in the following information:
Checklist Title: The title for the checklist.- Start Date: Starting date for the milestone.
- Target Date: Targeted completion date for the milestone.
- Assign to: From the drop-down menu, select the person to whom you want to assign the checklist
Once you have entered the information, click Update.
Sharing the Mutual Success Plan (MSP) with External Users
The Mutual Success Plan (MSP) can be shared with external stakeholders, allowing them to collaborate on deal progress. Aviso users can grant either View-Only or Edit access to ensure seamless communication and alignment with external partners.
To share the Mutual Success Plan, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Deals module and select the specific deal for which you want to share the MSP.
- Open the Mutual Success Plan tab.
- Locate the "Share Plan" button in the MSP tab and click on it.
- Enter External User Details. Input the email addresses of the external stakeholders who should receive access.
- Define Access Permissions
- Choose the type of access for external users:
- View-Only: Allows users to view the MSP without making changes.
- Edit: Grants users the ability to modify the MSP.
- A confirmation message will appear, indicating that the MSP has been successfully shared.
External users will receive an email with the access link and relevant details. - Users can review and manage shared links within the MSP tab.
Access can be revoked or modified at any time by the deal owner.
Email Authentication Flow for External Users
To ensure secure access for external users to the Mutual Success Plan (MSP) via an email authentication process. External users can access the MSP based on assigned permissions (View-Only or Edit) after verifying their email.
- External users receive an email invitation containing:
- Deal Name
- Checklist Items Assigned (if applicable)
- Secure Link to access the MSP
- Click the secure link in the invitation email. The system verifies the email and grants access to the deal webpage.
- Based on the assigned permissions:
- View-Only Access → Can view deal stages, milestones, and checklist items but cannot make edits.
- Secure Link to access the MSP
- Edit Access → Can update milestones, create checklist items, and change checklist statuses.
Note: Links expire after 90 days if not activated. Expired links will require re- verification via a new request.
