Deep dive into forecast with Forecast Insights

Sales forecast is a must and pivotal component of any business as it drives sales deployment, financial planning, operations planning, and marketing planning. It must be as accurate as possible to help you make the right decisions. A human-generated sales forecast can have errors and might not be highly accurate. Aviso AI uses AI and ML to give you sales forecast with more than 98 percent accuracy. After you log in to Aviso AI, from the left-hand side navigation bar, click Forecasts to open the Forecasts screen.

The Forecast screen is updated to make it more intuitive, user-friendly, and present more valuable insights. You can switch to the new Forecast screen anytime. After switching to the new Forecast screen, because of any reason, if you want to use the old Forecast screen, you can switch back to the old screen. The new Forecast screen appears and looks like the following image.

You can customize the Forecast screen to better suit your requirements.

Forecast screen shows sales forecast for a month or quarter from the available deals assigned to you. For example, if you are a sales rep and you have 20 deals assigned in a quarter, the Forecast screen will show forecast from those 20 deals. If you are a lead, the Forecast screen shows forecast from all the deals accessible at your level. You can select the quarter or month view from the quarter or month tabs below the BreakdownBySegment dropdown list to view forecast for quarter and month respectively.

The Forecasts screen shows sales forecasts for deal level with individual and rollup values. The COMMIT, MOST LIKELY, and BEST CASE cells show four values each - Adjusted Forecast, Team Rollup, From CRM, and Percentage of plan.

Click the green or red shade at the upper left-hand side corner to see the detail values that contribute to the forecast. If there is an increase in the forecast value from the previous quarter, the shade becomes green and if there is a decrease in the forecast value from the previous quarter, the shade becomes red. Clicking View Deals on the Insights pop-up redirects you to the Analytics screen and shows the deals with changes in the values over a particular time.

Click menu ( ) icon beside the Forecast name in the Name column to open forecast status, open the associated deals, view change in pipe, view or activate forecast room, and start forecast call.

Deep dive into forecast with Forecast Insights

Along with highly accurate sales forecast derived using AI and ML, Aviso AI also provides forecast insights. Forecast insights appears on the right-hand side of the Forecast screen and can help you identify areas of growth and opportunities for improvement, optimize your sales performance and stay ahead of your competitors, and identify potential risks and challenges allowing you to proactively mitigate those risks.

As shown above, The Forecast Insights has three tabs - Deals, Insights, and Meetings. 

  • If you click Why this number in any cell of the AI FORECAST column, it opens the Insights tab as shown above and gives all the sales information that contribute to the AI Forecast number that includes -
  •  Aviso AI Forecast Analytics - gives a graphical representation of AI forecast, Most likely, Best case, Commit over the open and closed deal.
  • Aviso AI Forecast Explanation - gives a graphical representation of quarter-wise Booked, Commit, Early stage, Newly created, and Pullins values.
  • Current Quarter Sales
  • Quota - shows the amount closed, the amount remaining to close to meet the quota, and the number of days left in the quarter.
  • Aviso Forecast
  • Booked - shows the amount booked in the current quarter and the percentage of amount booked that is above or below the pace required to meet the quota.
  •  Commit
  •  Most likely
  • Open pipelines
  • Bookings
    The insights below the graph includes data that support the forecast such as comparison of the amount booked so far with amount booked in the same time last quarter and last year. The At-Risk Deals lists deals that are not moving at a pace required to close in the current quarter. You may pay special attention to these deals to close in the current quarter or park for the next quarter.
  • If you click any cells from the BOOKED, COMMIT, MOST LIKELY, BEST CASE, DEAL LEVEL FORECAST, and OPEN PIPELINE columns, the
    Deals tab in the Forecast insights shows the respective sections showing the details sales data to help you learn about the current health of the sales performance and the forecast. For example, clicking BOOKED, COMMIT, and MOST LIKELY opens the following sections and gives valuable forecast insights.
  • The Meetings tab lets you create Forecast room and view all the meetings held with respect to the Forecast in the past.
